Canoeing

Canoes are available for hire at weekends. Tuition is available and life jackets are supplied.

Canoe clubs are welcome by prior arrangement. Contact Ian for information.

Prices:        Canadian Canoe 10 per half hour.  Deposit 20 per canoe.

                    Sit on kayak  10 per hour. Deposit 20 per kayak.

Stand up paddle boards are also available for hire.


Kelsey Paddlers meet every Saturday morning at 9am and now on a Tuesday evening as well - see details on their website - http://kelseypaddlers.btck.co.uk/


Alongside the canoeing the Kelsey Paddlers are now holding open swimming sessions on a Sunday morning and on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 7.30pm.  A safety boat is always in attendance.


Hull Model Boat Club

Meet at the South Lake on Saturdays and Wenesdays  Special events are also held - blog for details.

Walking

There are footpaths on the site and in the nearby countryside.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council run occasional guided walks - see the blog for details.

Bird watching

There are a variety of habitats in and around the site to make for interesting birdwatching. A list of species that have been recorded here in the last 20 years or so can be found on the wildlife pages.
